Teacher Universe - New User Instructions

To create your own account and view the courses and assessments available to you, please complete the following steps. We recommend you download and print the Teacher Universe Quick-Guide

1. Go to http://www.riverdeep.net/teacheruniverse, and click Login to Courses and Assessment on the right side of the screen.
2. Be sure all plug-ins are installed correctly. Your system is ready when four blue buttons appear below the Login area.
3. From the Login screen, click the link: click here to create a new account.
4. Search for your school using the name and zip code, then select your school from the list. If no match was found, follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Enter your information into all required fields, including your Contract Access Code provided to you by your School Administrator or Teacher Universe.
6. Write down your Login ID and Password so you don't forget! Click Create account.
7. Type in the Login ID and Password you just created. THey are CaSE SEnsiTIVe! Click the Login button.
8. Begin by viewing the 5-10 minute New User Orientation. Click the Courses button on the left side, then click New User Orientation under Course Selection.
9. To begin a course, click the link for the Course Group you wish to view. Click "start" next to the desired course to begin the course-specific Diagnostic assessment. (If you wish to take all Diagnostic Assessments at once, Full Assessments may be available by clicking the AssessOnline button.) After you complete the Diagnostic assessment, you will return to the Management System and may now access the course by clicking the appropriate course title.
10. To view your Reports click the Reports button. Using the pull-down menu across from your name, select the report you wish to view.
11. To use the Bulletin Board, click the BBS button in the top, right corner. Click the topic, then the thread you wish to view. Reply to a thread or message by clicking the REPLY link.
12. To complete Lesson Plans, essays, or to apply for graduate credit, click the Portfolio button.
