1) With the desired document open in Adobe Acrobat Reader, choose the Text Select Tool.

2) If the document is multi-column, click and hold on the Text Select Tool to reach the other selection tools.

3) To select a single column of text in a multi-column document, choose the Column Select Tool (the middle tool).

4) With the desired selection tool, click and select the text you want to copy.

5) Choose "Edit" in the menu bar and select "Copy" from the drop-down menu.

6) Open your text editor or word processor application.

7) Choose "Edit" in the menu bar and select "Paste" from the drop-down menu.

8) You can easily copy and paste standards into your lesson plans using the above steps!
