Brenda Barron has a background in both education and educational psychology, and has taught at both the elementary and college levels. A few years ago, she left classroom teaching to have a family, but was quickly pulled into education-related community endeavors and programs as she became more involved in her own children's education. Along the way, some of Brenda's projects involved her in Art and Performance Education for Youth, in writers' camps, in helping to create and guide student newspapers, in developing and implementing local math and technology fairs, and in establishing community learning partners for the development of leadership skills.
In The Classroom Flyer, Brenda has found an exciting new venue for her dedication to improving the quality and experience of education. "Each of us can make a difference — and teachers can be the biggest heroes of all." Brenda hopes that The Classroom Flyer gives teachers, students, and parents easier access to the vast wealth of information and resources available on the Internet. The Classroom Flyer has nearly 50,000 subscribers and is used and enjoyed in classrooms around the world. Brenda is pleased that The Classroom Flyer enables her to remain connected to educators and the many challenges that they face. Brenda is especially touched when hearing from educators and students from around the globe.
